Yahola Anthony Tiger, Jr., 73, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021, at his home. Yahola was born on November 17, 1948, in Okmulgee, the son of Yahola and Harriette Scott Tiger. He graduated from Eufaula High School in 1967. He received his Associates Degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College. In January 1970, Yahola married Helena Sheridan. They were married almost twenty years and to this union, three sons were born. He then received both his Bachelors and Masters Degree from Northeastern State University. Yahola enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in December of 1973. He was honorably discharged in July of 1977. Yahola was an educational counselor and softball coach at Bacone College for almost thirty years. He was an avid OU Sooners fan and enjoyed cultural storytelling. Survivors include: his sons, Yahola "Seymour" Tiger III and wife, Tonya, of Fort Gibson, Clinton Tiger and wife, Leann, of Park Hill, OK and Matthew Tiger and wife, Tina, of Tahlequah, OK; brothers, Jon Tiger and wife, Laverne; George Tiger and wife, Jane; Benjamin Tiger and wife, Marilyn and Mitchell Tiger; sisters, Judith Pickering and husband Tom, Mariena Tiger Eslick, Benita Tiger, Jeraldean Tiger, Serena Brown and husband, Allen; and Anna Carson and husband, Jerry; seven grandchildren, Yahola IV Tiger, Nathan Tiger, Courtney Tiger, Stella Tiger, Daniel Tiger, Emma Tiger, and Jacob Wheeler; great grandchildren: Maren Tiger, Christopher Noe, Roewyn Noe; and one aunt, Samarian Herndon. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Mary Nell Kaulay and an infant, Susan Elaine Tiger, and one infant great grandchild, Karsyn Noe.
