W.L. Bookout

W.L. Bookout, 76, of Quinton, passed away on August 1, 2018 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. W.L. was born on October 14, 1941 in Featherston, Oklahoma to William Leonard and Flora Bullard Bookout. He graduated from Quinton High School in 1960. W.L. was married to Wilda Peters Buie from 1962 to 1983. In 1962, he moved to Tulsa to work as a welder and fitter for over twenty-five years. Later W.L. moved back to Quinton and worked at D.P. Steel Manufacturing. Survivors include: his son, James "Jim" Bookout, of Quinton, OK; daughter, Joy Anderson and husband, Melvin, of Coweta, OK; two grandchildren: Zachary and William Anderson; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and one nephew.
