Winnie Lee Smithee

Winnie Lee (Willmon) Smithee, 83, of Eufaula passed away Thursday, November 11, 2011 at the Muskogee Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 29, 1927, in Eufaula, the daughter of Jonas C. and Maud (Pollard) Willmon. Winnie graduated from Eufaula High School. On July 6, 1943, Winnie married Troy Smithee in Muskogee. She worked at the Worthen Department Store. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include: her husband, Troy, of the home; her sons, Kenneth Smithee and wife Shelby of Abilene, Texas and Dennis Smithee of Eufaula; her daughter, Shelba Haynie of Eufaula; her sisters, Lahoma Bebee of Eufaula and Estelle Hughes of Checotah; her sister-in-law, Eula Willmon of Eufaula and her granddaughter, Kristin Watson of Tulsa. She is preceded in death by an infant son, Michael, one great grandchild Cole Watson and seven brothers and sisters.
