Wilma Jean Clendening

Wilma was born on October 23, 1937 in Ankeny, Iowa to Edward C. and Elsie L. (Jasper) Knight. She attended Elkhart Schools in Elkhart, Iowa. On July 2, 1960 Wilma married Charles R. Clendening, who preceded her in death on September 29, 1994. They were married for thirty-four years. She worked as a secretary and waitress. Wilma lived all over including Elkhart, Iowa, Sycamore, Illinois, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Las Vegas, NV before making Eufaula, OK her home. Survivors include: sons: Kevin Clendening, of Las Vegas, NV; Charles Clendening, of Eufaula, OK; Tony Clendening, of Frederick, OK; daughters: Dawn Clendening, of Eufaula, OK; Sheri Ballard, of Onapa, OK; sister, Rosalyn Burgos, of Eufaula, OK; seventeen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; daughter, Cindy McClain; son, Clarence Clendening; grandson, Tyler Carr; and sister, Virginia Moore.
