William Upton, Jr.

William E. Upton Jr., 57, long time resident of Stidham and Eufaula, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the Cornerstone Hospital in Muskogee. William was born on May 29, 1962, in Keeanee, Illinois, the son of William Edward Upton Sr. and Elvera Huffman Upton. He attended school in Oklahoma City. On April 3, 2004 William married Janet Tate at the Asparagus Farm in Stidham, Oklahoma. They were happily married for sixteen years. He worked as a farm hand, mechanic, cutting logs, and fixing docks. William enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandson. Survivors include: his wife, Janet, of the home; sons: William Upton, III; and Terry Upton; daughters: Felicia Upton; Tiffany Ketcherside and husband, Floyd, all of Eufaula, OK; and Amber Upton, of Claremore, OK; brothers: Bill Phillips and wife, Doris, of Moore, OK; and Johnny Newman and wife, Sondra, of Edmond, OK; grandson, Damon Ketcherside; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Elvera Upton.
