William Ray Reed, 79, of Eufaula passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at his home. William was born on November 23, 1939, in Luling, Texas, the son of Wade Buford and Madolyne E. Lewis. He attended Putnam City School and graduated in 1958. He had lots of friends and everyone lovingly referred to him as "Willie". He loved tinkering with cars and scooters. He was a member of several car clubs. He finally bought his dream car in 2017, a 1958 two door Chevy Bel-Aire. He was a licensed electrician as well as having a degree in heat and air. He worked at the Department of Corrections as a maintenance supervisor after moving here from OKC in 1975. He loved the lake life and bought Belle Starr Marina in 1991, which he and his wife Dorcille ran for twenty-five years. William was a attended of the Sycamore Community Church. Survivors include: his wife and friend of thirty-two years, Dorcille; his son, John Dunaway of Checotah; his daughters, Deyron Igney and husband JC of Eufaula and Christi Ingram of Council Hill; his grandchildren, Blake Dunaway, Samantha Igney, Carissa Igney, Daxton Reed, Eric Ingram and Rayce Reed; two nephews, Wade Reed and wife Connie of OKC, Paul Wayne Reed of OKC, a niece, Mary Smith and husband Bill of Eufaula and many friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Wade Reed and Paul Reed and his son, Darren Reed.
