William Monroe Burdine

Monroe was born October 10, 1935 in Lenna, OK to Fate and Martha {Hunter} Burdine. His school age years were spent in Kerman, CA. On December 4, 1965 he and Ethel J Brisco were wed in Kerman, CA. Monroe worked as a supervisor for the City of Salem in Salem, OR and also as a welder for Brisco Welding in Salem, OR, and last he was a supervisor for the Acme Brick Plant in Malvern, AR until he retired. Upon retiring, he and Ethel returned to Lenna, OK and then to Eufaula, OK. Monroe is survived by one Aunt Imagene of Eufaula; brother, John Burdine and wife Joyce of Fort Gibson, OK; sister, Margie Martini and husband, Joe of Riverdale, CA; sister, Susie McQuin and husband, Bob of Fresno, CA; daughter Louann Turner of Harker Heights, TX; grandson, Mathew Smith and wife, Jessica of Harker Heights, TX; great grandsons: Zachary and Sean Smith; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Monroe is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ethel; brothers: Chubby and Dean Burdine; and sister, Morrene Burdine Davis and grandson, Michael Smith.
