William Joseph Corns

William Joseph Corns, 75, of Eufaula, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2020, at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. William was born on September 6, 1944, in Denver, Colorado, the son of John Clyde and Edna Lee (Ermey) Corns. He graduated from Chanute High School in 1962. He enlisted in the United States Army on August 7, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri and was honorably discharged on June25, 1964, at Fort Hamilton, New York. On October 13, 2002, William married Sondra Helms Harris in Midwest City, Oklahoma. They were happily married for seventeen years. William retired as a maintenance, equipment operator for the City of Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Eufaula Church of Christ. Survivors include: his wife, Sondra, of home; his daughter, Cathy Soderston of Yukon, OK; step children, Michele Anderson, Jeff Harris and wife Cherry, and Mike Harris; two grandchildren, Kurtis Dickerson of Norman and Melissa Soderston of Moore; step grandchildren, Ashlee Harris, Dillan Chamlee, David Chamlee, Amber Harris, Jeremiah Harris, Emily Attergrim, Cleo Giraldo, and Brittany Kraemer; and a sister, Nancy Oden and husband Mike of Hutchison, KS and numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joye.
