William "Jack" Jackson Polson, 65, of Eufaula, passed away on January 2, 2015 at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Jack was born on June 20, 1949 in Edna, Kansas to Andrew Jessie and Nina Lucille (Balthrope) Polson. He attended grade school at Bartlett, Kansas and middle school and high school in Dustin, Oklahoma. Jack served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1973. While serving, he received three Army Commendation Medals, National Defense Service Medal, and Sharp Shooter Badge. He also was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Jack was a member of the DAV, VFW, and a Master Mason. On December 1, 1984, he married Judy Lane in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They were happily married for over thirty years. Jack was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Judy, of the home; daughters: Heather Leigh Fowler, of Odessa, TX; Emily LuAnne Walker and husband, Lewis, of Eufaula, OK; brothers: David Polson, of Eufaula, OK; Stanford Polson and wife, Sandra, of Dustin, OK; Robert Polson and wife, Tennie, of Weleetka, OK; sisters: Dianne Caldwell Ivy and husband, James, of Dustin, OK; Sarah Sue Hassan and husband, Ali, of Tulsa, OK; and five grandchildren: Brooks, Chandler and Mati Fowler, of Tulsa, OK; Jaxon and Emberly Walker, of Eufaula, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Lucille Polson; Johnny Polson; Chester Balthrope; Linda Polson; one step granddaughter, Lindsey Walker; and one step son, Matthew Gray.
