December 16, 1932 — September 28, 2023

William Glenn Johnson age 90 of Muskogee, OK, went home to be with the Lord on this day September 28, 2023. He was born December 16, 1932 in Shreveport, LA. He was the son of John Roy Johnson and Helen (Hesser) Johnson. He was the fifth of six children. William or Bill to his friends and Bootsy to his family married the love of his life Bonnie Sue Blaylock on February 9, 1953 in Hope AR. They were married for 57 years. Bill worked for Advance/Superior Linen in Muskogee, OK for 28 years until he retired. After retirement he moved to Canadian, OK to enjoy living on the lake. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and gardening. He loved taking pride in his yard. One of Bills favorite expressions was "to have good neighbors, you need to be a good neighbor". He was always a good neighbor. One time when Bill was 88 years old he was asked if he preferred William or Bill and he responded, "wild Bill at night and sweet William in the morning". His sons were with him when he answered that questions and realized at that moment that their dad was a real charmer. Besides being a wonderful husband and father, Bill touched many lives in a positive way and will be painfully missed. Bill was a deacon at First Christian Church of Muskogee, OK until his retirement. After moving to Canadian, he became a member of Crowder Freewill Baptist Church. He was active in church wherever he lived.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Helen Johnson, wife Bonnie Sue Johnson, and his brothers and sisters.
