Willard Pitman

Willard Pitman Sr., passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at his home. He was born on June 17, 1927 in Stidham, Oklahoma the son of James Walter and Cherry (Mooneyham) Pitman. He graduated from Stidham Public School in 1945 and later graduated from Junior College. On June 19, 1947, Willard married Wanda Faye Adams in Eufaula. They were happily married for sixty-nine years. Willard worked for Sears for thirty years. He also ranched and raised cattle for a while. Willard enjoyed the outdoors and went camping every weekend. Survivors include: his wife, Wanda, of the home; his son, Willard "Boots Pitman, Jr. and wife Sandy of Hot Springs, Arkansas; his daughter, Judy Ann Schiller and husband Thomas of Oktaha; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven sisters. Memorial contributions may be made in Willard's name to the American Red Cross or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
