Weldon "Will" Duane Johnson

April 22, 1948 — June 20, 2018

Will was born on April 22, 1948, in Lubbock, Texas the son of Harold Lewis and Anna Mae (Manwarren) Johnson. He graduated from Colon, Michigan in 1967. In 1968, Will married Cora Mae Cobb. They were married over twenty-four years. He served in the United States Marine Corps and played football during his service. Will worked as a police officer in Checotah and Moore. He later worked as an insurance adjuster. On October 7, 1995, Will married Tina Aleene Lay in Lyons, Kansas. They were happily married for twenty-two years. Will served as a member of the Chickasaw Honor Guard. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, watch OU football and play softball, still playing the game up to a year ago. Survivors include: his wife, Tina, of the home; his mother, Anna Mae of Lyons, Kansas; his children, Linda Triscari and husband Joe of Oklahoma City, Vicki Cooper and husband Darrin of Checotah, Lisa Lemmings & Shana of Checotah, Patricia Johnson of Norman, Weldon Johnson & Ambrie of Fittstown, Michael Johnson and wife Melissa of Martinez, Georgia and Matthew Johnson and wife Kimberlea of Glennpool; Brandon and Jessi Walker. He is also survived by twenty-three grandkids, fourteen great grandkids, and his brothers, Clarence Johnson and wife Denise of Sterling, Kansas, Dale Johnson of Oklahoma and Johnny and wife Annie of Grand Rapids, Michigan and his sister, Penny Hartle and husband Martin of Lyons, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his father and a grandson Kiel Holladay.
