Wayne Calvert

Wayne Calvert, 36, of Eufaula, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the St. John’s Hospital. Wayne was born on January 3, 1976, in Taft, California. He is the son of Lloyd Wayne and Deneisa Jean (Watkins) Calvert. Wayne graduated from Eufaula High School in 1994. He worked at the Army Ammunition Plant and later owned and operated Logo Concepts in Eufaula. On August 5, 2005, Wayne married Leeah Kaye Beaird in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Wayne loved hunting and fishing and playing cards with his buddies. He also enjoyed four- wheeling with his son, Cole, and sitting on the back deck having a cold beer. Wayne was a member of the Burns Chapel Church of God. Survivors include: his wife, Leeah, of the home; his son, Cole Wayne Calvert of Eufaula; his stepson, Christopher Devon Bartling of Eufaula and his stepdaughter, Misti Stephens of Edmond; his parents, Lloyd and Deneisa of Eufaula; his sister, Melanie Powell and husband Chris of Eufaula; his nephew, Chase Powell; his maternal grandfather, Harold Watkins and his very close cousins, Brent Hood, Ryan Hood, Sabrena Watkins, Tara McGuire and a host of other cousins, aunts and uncles. Wayne is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lora Hood Watkins, his paternal grandfather, Lloyd L. Calvert, his great grandparents Harry and Myrl Hood, Lee and Effie Watkins and a special uncle, Clint Hood.
