Walter Roy McDonald, 88, of Eufaula, passed away on June 29, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Walter was born on November 8, 1929 in Holson Creek Community to Edward Gladwin and Willie May (Gammons) McDonald. He graduated from LeFlore. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Vocational Agriculture from Oklahoma A&M and then his Master's Degree from OSU. On December 31, 1949, Walter married Dessie Pauline Reeves, who preceded him in death on May 26, 1965. They were happily married for fifteen years and had two daughters together. In 1957, Walter moved to Stidham to take the vocational agriculture job. They moved to Valliant in 1962, where he continued to teach Ag. Walter moved with his daughters back to Eufaula in 1966. He taught at Eufaula High School until 1984, when he was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives for District 15. He served as Representative for two terms. Walter was a member of the Eufaula Church of Christ. He enjoyed teaching, farming, welding, livestock, and riding horses. Survivors include: daughters: Kay McDonald Robinson and husband, Dennis, of Sapulpa, OK; and Jo McDonald Perryman and husband, David, of Chickasha, OK; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers, and one sister.
