Violet Christine Sumner

Violet Christine Sumner, 70, of Eufaula, passed away on May 4, 2015 at the McAlester Regional Medical Center. Violet was born on February 2, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Edith Cameron. On February 2, 1964, she married John Hammer Chenoweth, who preceded her in death in 1980. They were happily married for over sixteen years. Violet worked as a factory worker. She was a member of the Prayer Mountain Church and of the Nazarene Church. Survivors include: son, James Chenoweth and wife, Beverly, of Florida; daughter, Ruby Chenoweth "April Doop", of Checotah, OK; two brothers: Fred Chenoweth, of California; James Peeks, of Sapulpa, OK; four grandchildren: James, Chris, Chris, and KoKo; and two great grandchildren: Jerrian and Kadrian. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, John Chenoweth.
