Thomas was born on July 17, 1940 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Obie Clifton and Grace Marie (Clanton) Corley. He graduated from Eufaula High School in 1958. After marriage, Thomas went on to graduate from Central State College in Edmond, Oklahoma receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 1964. Thomas lived in Oklahoma City most of his adult life. He worked as a Procurement Officer at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring after 37 years of service. Thomas was very involved in his church, St. Andrews United Methodist Church of Oklahoma City. He was also passionate about politics and volunteered for the Republican Party at their local headquarters. Survivors include: son, Brian Thomas Corley and wife, Christina, of Wolfforth, TX; daughter, Cheryl Darlene Crawley and husband, Darren, of Siloam Springs, AR; brothers, Terrill Corley and wife, Ann, of Tulsa, OK; Dale Corley and wife, Peggy, of Eufaula, OK; and five grandchildren: Britney, Shelby, Brayden, Allyson, and Blake. He is preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Grace Corley; two brothers: Ansel and Gerald Corley.
