Thomas Ray Schultz, 79, of Stigler passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012, at the Haskell County Nursing Center in Stigler. Thomas was born on November 11, 1932, in Wetumka, Oklahoma the son of William M. and Bessie Leanna Byrd Schultz. He graduated from Bearden High School in 1951. Thomas was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1953. He was honorably discharged on June 18, 1953. He worked as an installer for Western Electric/Lucent/AT&T living in Oklahoma City and numerous places across the U.S. On July 15, 1985, Thomas married Rita Hall in Oklahoma City. They moved to the Brooken area in 1997. Thomas was a member of the Pioneers Club – AFLCIO. He was a member of the 40th Street Baptist Church in OKC. Survivors include: his wife, Rita, of the home; his son, Kenny Hall of Oklahoma City and his adopted son/grandson, Ethan Alexander Scott of the home; his sisters, Alene Osborn of Modesto, California and Betty Arnett of Yukon, OK. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, four half brothers, two half sisters and his brothers, Arther and Donald Schultz.
