Thomas Allen Hackney

Thomas Allen Hackney, 74, of Checotah, passed away on November 12, 2017 at the Pleasant Valley Health Care Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Thomas was born on November 21, 1942 in Long Beach, California to Alexander Harley Smith and Betty Jeanne (Branson) Hackney. He enlisted in the United States Naval Services on August 4, 1961 and was honorably discharged on August 3, 1965. Thomas worked as a Regional Manager of a large clothing industry. Survivors include: his parents, Alexander Harley Smith Hackney and Betty Jeanne Adams; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Turner and Lea Maire Tourville; sisters, Sandra Lee Basinger and Lexie Jeanne Tucker; and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Thomas Alexander Hackney. Memorial services will be private at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements were made with Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
