Thelma Murphy

Thelma Lenora Murphy, 95, of Eufaula, passed away on October 27, 2018 in Weleetka, Oklahoma. Thelma was born on July 31, 1923 in Dustin, Oklahoma to Leonard and Elyafeth (Brown) Eslick. She worked as a chef in Alameda and Oakland California for thirty years. Thelma was a member of the Cooks Union Local 28. She also worked at Eufaula Elementary as a tutor and Grandmother for several years. Thelma was a member of the Eufaula Ladies Auxiliary Post 8798 and Ladies Auxiliary Post in Orland, California. Survivors inlcude: son, David Martin, of El Paso, AR; brother, Melford Eslick, of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Pat Harding, of Paradise, CA; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons: Darrell Murphy and Carl Gene Martin; daughter, Thelma Sue Martin; brothers: Alvin and Paul Eslick; and sisters: Reta Fay Timmons and Lona Burges.
