Teresa Joyce Thatcher, 65, of Eufaula, passed away on June 20, 2021 at her home. Teresa was born on December 5, 1955 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Jack Taylor and Helen Ruth (Coker) Hobbs. In 1973, she graduated from Carl Albert High School, where she played basketball and named "Miss Flame" for hair color and fiery personality. While in high school, Teresa was one of the first two females to become members of FFA. On October 22, 1985, she married Lonnie Glen Thatcher. They were happily married for thirty-six years. She worked in the loan department for Intrust Bank in Wichita for about ten years. Teresa enjoyed bowling and was on bowling leagues for several years. She also loved the lake and spending time with her family and her dog, Boomer. Survivors include: her husband, Lonnie Thatcher, of the home; son, Robert Thatcher and wife, Kami, of Wichita, KS; daughter, Tara Payne and husband, Jason, of Norman, OK; sisters: Cathy Hobbs, of Midwest City, Ok; Connie Yeager, of Dallas, TX; and Linda McDaniel and husband, Tim, of Midwest City, OK; and five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Hobbs; mother, Helen Loftin; father in-law, Claude Thatcher; and mother in-law, Treva Tatcher.
