Artemis (Temis) Lanier Crowder was the oldest son of the proud parents of Bobbie Jean Kizzie and the late Leonard Crowder on July 25, 1972, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Temis known by most of his family and friends accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Jesus Name by the late Bishop Louis Osborne, Sr. of Portland, Oregon. Temis was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was the acting Superintendent of the Sunday School, sung in the choir and attended many congress meetings with the late Sis. Tevia Gregory. Temis was a member of the NAACP, who loved to fish, listen to music, and talk on the phone with friends and family. Artemis graduated from Eufaula High School in 1990 and attended Langston University. Temis played football for Eufaula High #74 and really enjoyed the game and was pretty fast for his size. He also played for Langston University for a short time. Artemis' loved ones that preceded him in death were his dad, Leonard Crowder, his grandparents, Dupree, Idessie & Corene West, step grandfather, Eddie Lee Thompson, step brother, Walter (Jim Bob) Kizzie, step sister, Carol Jones and uncle Elder Bobby Joe West, Sr. Those left to celebrate his life and treasure his memories: his mother, Bobbie Jean Kizzie, step father Walter Kizzie, brother, Demetrius Crowder, step sisters, Barbara Ann and Wanda Joyce Kizzie, nieces, Emma Tribble (Collin), Trinity; nephews, Calen and Tristan; many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and relatives who will dearly miss him.
