Teddy Eual Goforth, 79, of Eufaula passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012, at his home. Teddy was born on May 7, 1933, in Hulbert, Oklahoma, the son of Jackson Ray and Faye Audi (Friend) Goforth. He attended various schools in the Tulsa area before enlisting in the Army, where he served 2 years in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Upon returning home to Oklahoma, Teddy began his career as an entrepreneur, launching a number of businesses including land development and real estate brokerage. He will best be remembered for his avid interest in horseback riding, antique car restoration, fishing, and gardening; but perhaps most of all for his love of music, playing guitar and singing with numerous groups across the area over a large portion of his life. Teddy was a self-made man who lived life on his own terms from beginning to end and loved his family dearly. Survivors include: his wife, Isabel, of the home; his sons, Jamie Saunders and wife Candace of Tulsa, Jim Goforth and wife Tammy of Wynnewood, Travis Barker of Holdenville and a stepson, Floyd Bailey of Eufaula; his daughters, Raydene Goforth and husband Nathan of Austin, Trisha Barker of Holdenville, and step-daughters, Jodi Bailey of Phoenix, Arizona, Jackie Byrd of Tulsa and Bobbie Bailey of Tulsa; his brother, John Phillips of Tulsa; his sister, Sherry Hicks of Broken Arrow; five grandchildren, Wes, Chris, Rachael, Summer and Rachael. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jimmie Goforth and two grandchildren.
