Sylvia Evangelina Freeman was born on June 26, 1939, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Mario and Virginia Moreno. She was raised in southern California and received her cosmetology license there. On January 16, 1962, Sylvia married George Edwin Freeman in Orange County, California. Sylvia worked as a cosmetologist in California and Oklahoma. She lived in LaBrea, Ontario, and Salton Sea. When she moved to Oklahoma, Sylvia obtained her GED and went on to get her real estate license. She also worked in retail at Libby"s in Eufaula. She worked all her life and was a dedicated wife to her husband George. She was involved with Christ all of her life – church and bible study was very important to her. Jesus Christ was first in her life and her husband came second. Survivors include: her husband, George, of the home; her sons, George (Duce) and Andy; her daughters, Robyn and Vicky; sisters, Carmen Black & Mary Moreno; twelve grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son Ricky.
