Suzanna Jo Franklin

Suzanna Jo Franklin, aged 72, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away at her home on March 30, 2025. She was born on March 21, 1953, in Hanna, Oklahoma, to Robert Watson and Winey Mae (Fish) Billy. Suzanna was raised in Hanna and was a proud graduate of Hanna High School. Throughout her life, she also lived in Oklahoma City and Eufaula.

Suzanna was the wife of Lester Franklin, with whom she had two children. She later married Artemio Maldonaldo, who preceded her in death on November 3, 2021. A compassionate individual, Suzanna dedicated her career to working in home health, demonstrating her commitment to caring for others.

Her legacy lives on through her family, which includes her child, Lester Franklin Jr. and grandchildren; Manuel Franklin, Sarah Franklin, Rachael Franklin, and Maressa Franklin; and sister Polly Billy Ataddlety. She was also cherished as a great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. A dear friendship with Margie Carr further enriched her life.

Suzanna is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Watson and Winey Billy; her daughter Tisha Franklin; as well as her brother Richmond Carr and sister Martha Carr.

The pallbearers will include Samuel Nino, Vincent Dorsey, Junior Luna, Manuel Franklin, Mario Delgado, and Fermin Sanchez, with honorary pallbearers Octavio Luna, Lorenzo Luna, and Mario Sanchez. Burial will follow at the Hanna Cemetery.
