Sue Ann Bumgarner, 85, of Eufaula, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the McAlester Regional Health Center. Sue was born on April 18, 1935 to James and Kogee (Morrison) Deere. She graduated from Stidham High School. Sue was baptized on April 25, 1954 at Little Coweta Baptist Church. She married Leonard Ray Bumgarner on April 2, 1981 at Eufaula United Pentecostal Church. They were happily married for eleven years before he preceded her in death on July 28, 1992. Sue retired from the Eufaula Hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed sewing, beading, and going to craft fairs. Sue was a member of New Arbor Baptist Church in Eufaula. She was also a member of the Creak Nation Community. Survivors include: her daughter, Carolyn Stroble Pickering; four grandchildren: Misty Postoak, Nathaniel (Chubby) Grayson, Sara Stroble, and JOnathan Stroble; and four great grandchildren: Keisha Postoak, Natasha Postoak, Jonathan Stroble II, and Kaysen Stroble. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Kogee (Morrison) Deere; son, Nathaniel (Peanut) Grayson; sister, Evelyn Jean Dowling; and two brothers: James (Squeak) Deere Jr. and Daniel Deere.
