Stanley Wayne Guest, 83, of Checotah, passed away on September 27, 2022 at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Wayne was born on June 29, 1939 in Dustin, Oklahoma to Stanley August and Flossie (Alstadt) Guest. He graduated from Dustin High School in 1957.The day after he graduated, Wayne enlisted into the United States Army and served three years. On August 26, 1957, he married Freda Kathleen Jones in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They were happily married sixty-one years, before she preceded him in death on August 25, 2018. . He worked in northern California in logging for six years. He then worked on the Apollo Space Rockets. Wayne was drafted and sent to Alaska, during the Cuba Mission Crisis in 1962. In 1973, Wayne started working as a millwright and worked for over forty years, before retiring at the age of 63. He loved to hunt, work on his land, and read books.

Survivors include: sons, Allen Wayne Guest and wife Carol of Checotah, Glen Dale Guest of Checotah and Grady Lee Guest and wife Marcie of Checotah; daughter, Sherry Rene Couhig and husband John of Floresville, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters: Mary Sue Ridge and Carolyn Camp. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Freda Kathleen Guest.
