Shurman Gillion Beezley

Shurman Gillion Beezley, 82, of Eufaula, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Walnut Grove Living Center. Shurman was born in rural Pushmataha County, the son of James Chapel and Annie Ethel (Culver) Beezley. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1956 out of Amarillo, Texas. He was based out of Germany. Shurman was honorably discharged in 1959. On April 25, 1963, Shurman married Myrtie Slay in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They were happily married fifty-six years. Shurman was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness in McAlester. Survivors include: his wife, Myrtie, of the home; his sons, Guy Maurice Beezley, Stanley Garrison, Ronald Garrison and Shurman Jr. Beezley; his daughter, Terri Southerland; twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. He was the last living sibling of all his brothers and sisters.
