Shirley May Combs

Shirley May Combs, 78, of Eufaula, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Shirley was born on May 12, 1934 in River Rouge, Michigan to Harry Emaniul and Margaret Mary (Vargo) Eberline. She attended and graduated from River Rouge, Michigan in 1952. Shirley married Calvin Denny Combs in 1961. Shirley worked as a Procurement Officer for the Department of Defense for over thirty years. In 1992, she retired and moved to Eufaula, Oklahoma. Shirley and Denny owned the Main Center Mall and the Longtown Conoco for several years. Survivors include: her husband, Calvin Denny Combs, of the home; one son, Bruce Alan Combs, of Longtown, OK; one daughter, Cindy Lee McCord, of Conchas Dam Lake, New Mexico; one brother, Harry Donald Eberline and wife, Irene, of Oscoda, Michigan; three sisters, Mary Ann Sparkman, of Norman, OK; Alice Glick and husband, Jim, of Texas; and Judy Eberline, of Michigan; three grandchildren, Jackie Luna, Dellynn Marie Combs and Gina Lynn Mottl; and two great grandchildren, Madison and Raelynn. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margaret Eberline.
