Shirley Fay Downum

Shirley Fay Downum,78, of Broken Arrow, passed away Monday, September 21, 2020, in Broken Arrow. Shirley was born on November 27, 1941 in Stidham, Oklahoma, the daughter of Obin and Lillie Mae (Stephens) Tucker. In 1959, she graduated from Stidham High School. In 1959, Shirley married Andrew Downum in Eufaula. They were happily married for sixty years. She and Andrew lived all over throughout the years, including Stidham, Texas, Japan, Louisiana, before retiring to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Shirley enjoyed shopping for clothes, shoes, and especially rings. She wore a ring on every finger. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Survivors include: her husband, Andrew, of the home; her son, Steven and Windy Downum; grandson, Tylor Downum; and two sisters: Bonnie Sue Williams and Freda Herriman. She is preceded in death by her parents, Obin and Lillie Mae Tucker; son, Randy Downum; and one sister, Betty Lee Tucker.
