Shirley Ann Pender

Shirley Ann Pender, 81, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023, at the St. Francis Hospital of Tulsa. Shirley was born on September 11, 1941, in Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Lucille (Garmon) Hawkins. She attended school in Iowa and received her GED in 1970, in Texas. Shirley worked odd jobs, but she was a homemaker most of all. She married Floyd Pender on March 28, 1959 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and the two were married for almost fifty seven years before his passing in 2016.

Survivors include: her daughter, Ann Hatcher and husband Terry of Checotah; sisters, Nancy Parks and husband Scoop, Sharon Patrick and husband Kenneth, and Linda Smith and husband Rick; grandchildren, Brittany Hatcher, Michael Trumbo, Krystal Austin and Kimberly Austin; and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd Ervin Pender, sons, Floyd "Butch" Pender and Thomas Eugene Pender, great grandson, Zaiven Houke.
