Sandy Kay (Young) Drennen, of Canadian, passed away on September 28, 2019 at her home. Sandy Kay Drennen (Young) was born on November 11, 1955 in Oklahoma City, great granddaughter to original enrollee: Richard Byington. She is survived by her son, Andrew Rakow, of Canadian, OK; two grandsons: Andrew Joel (A.J.) Rakow and Christian Rakow and wife, Ryan; twin great grandchildren due in December, Jamie Michelle and Lanie Grace; and two sisters: JoAnn Pettaway and Martha Peets. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse Paul Drennen; her father Buddy Joe Young; mother Nancy Carol Ranyak and a brother, Faron Joe Young. Sandy lived in California for thirty years before moving to Canadian, Oklahoma in 1994. She was very proud of her Choctaw heritage and attended Wednesday lunches at the Center in Crowder, where her very dear friend, Robin Tubby works.
