Samuel Tucker Marshall Jr. (Sonny Bo-gee, Sam, Sonny) entered into the gates of Heaven at 5:38 a.m. on December 6, 2024. Sam/Sonny was born on March 14, 1952 to Sam and Polly (Francis) Marshall of Eufaula, Oklahoma. Sam/Sonny attended Jones Academy and graduated from Hartshorne High School in 1970 where he played football and was a very powerful and outstanding boxer. Sam/Sonny won many tournaments and jackets during his boxing career for the Hartshorne Miners. He was an avid OU Sooners fan never missed watching a game or yelling at the TV. He attended several OU games and enjoyed watching his Boomer Sooners. He played with the Nighthawk Fastpitch Team for many years as their catcher. His pastime was drawing Native American pictures using colored pencils and shard many prints with his family and friends.
He worked for Creek Nation for many years and later repairing homes for many people.
Sonny is survived by four children, Sammi Borders of Eufaula, Guymon Marshall of Eufaula, Derrick Marshall of McAlester and Shelbi Marshall of Roland. He is survived by his precious grandchildren, Jonah Marshall, Bryce Marshall, Cordell Marshall, Kylo Bear, Sunday Orange, Devon Marshall, Sean Marshall, Mason Colven, Wesley Colven, Jalen Marshall, Brooke Marshall, one great granddaughter Nila June Marshall and his grand dog Elvis and one new grand baby on the way, and special daughter in law Brittany Garrett.
Sonny is survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Dewayne Marshall and wife Tammy of Welling, OK, George Marshall of Eufaula, OK, Steve Marshall of Dallas, TX, May Marshall of Okmulgee, OK and Leah Marshall of Eufaula, OK.
Preceding Sonny in death are his son, Sgt. Richard Marshall, parents Samuel and Polly Marshall, sisters, Ethel Melton, Lucille Ward, Elcise Ahtone and Polly Ann Marshall, brothers Guymon Marshall, and John Howard Marshall.
Also leaving to cherish his memory are many nieces, nephews and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
