Sally Lora Gideon

Sally Lora Gideon, 74, of Stidham, Oklahoma gained her Heavenly crown on Friday, March 16, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer. Sally was born on April 9, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Emmett Marion Sr. and Ruby Cecil (Russell) Gillespie. She graduated from Star Spencer High School and later attended the University of Oklahoma. On February 1, 1971, Sally married James Richard Gideon in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They were happily married for forty-seven years. Sally worked at Tinker Air Force Base for over twenty-five years. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include: her husband, James "Jim", of the home; her daughters, Ruby Elizabeth Gideon of Newport Richey, FL, Jacqualine Louise Clinkenbeard of Checotah, OK, and Jamie Rae Sawyer and husband Mason of Eufaula, OK; her brother and sister in law, Emmett Gillespie, Jr. and wife Carol of Stidham, OK; her sister and brother in law, Mary Helen Marsh and husband Arthur of Mustang, OK; granddaughter, Sarah Jenkins, husband Rick and their children, Mandala and Alexandria of Yukon, OK; granddaughter, Rebecca Sanders, husband Brian and their children, Josh, Marisa and Cora; grandson, Daniel Lee Watkins of Cordell, OK; several nieces and nephews from across the U.S. and last but not least, her faithful and hairy children of the home, Levi, Rhett, Scarlett and Scooby. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Karen Gillespie.
