Sally Geneva Brown, 86, of Lenna, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024. Sally was born on January 21, 1938, in Delhi, Louisiana to Jessie and Vera Bell (Massey) King. She attended Newellton High School in Louisiana. On June 10, 1957, she married Donald Lee Brown in Kearmon, California, and two children were born to this union. They were happily married for forty-seven years, before he preceded her in death on October 4, 2004. Sally was a homemaker and took care of her family. They were her number one priority. She followed Donald everywhere on the farm whether he was on the tractor or out in the fields she was there. She would cook his meals and take them out wherever he was. They enjoyed traveling and visiting family. Sally was very active in church. While a teenager, Sally served as a youth leader. As she got older, she served as a woman's ministry leader, Sunday school teacher, and a children's church leader. She also was a Pioneer Girls leader and a cook during youth camps. Sally enjoyed gardening, fishing, canning, cooking, sewing and singing, especially in church. She was singing with her sister from age 6. She made several cd's for her loved ones to listen to. She attended Bethany 1st Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: son, Mike Brown and wife Betty of Eufaula; daughter, LaDonna Greggs, of Oklahoma City; one grandchild, Cavitt Lee Greggs of Oklahoma City and sister Ethel Ray of W. Monroe. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald, and her siblings Marvin King, Ruth Baggs, Mae Perritt, Maffey Davis, Deanie Baggs, Louise Edwards, Virgil Hatchel, Sue Soesbie and Minnie Bell King.
