Russell Theodore Long

Russell Theodore Long, 88, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Russell was born on March 4, 1933, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the son of Robert Lee and Verdie Salters Long. He graduated from Eufaula Public Schools and enlisted in the United States Army. On June 21, 1952, Russell married Lois Burns in Eufaula. Russell worked as a deputy sheriff in Fresno, California. He was a member of the Eufaula First Assembly. Survivors include: daughter, Karen Beck and husband William, of Eufaula; grandchildren, Julie Soto, Cindy Phillips, Bobby Hogue, Jr. and Cheryl Hogue; great grandchildren, Hannah Lowry, Mark Lowry, Bryan Lowry, Edward Phillips, Dennon Soto, Ashlynn Soto, and Bridget Hogue all of California. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois; sister, Hazel Montgomery; and brothers, Robert Long Jr, Charles Long and George Long.
