Rosella Riley

Rosella Riley, 81, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the St. Francis Hospital of Muskogee. Rosella was born on July 4, 1940, in Morrisdale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Samuel and Lillian (Heane) Scalzo. She married Richard Riley on September 3, 1977. They were happily married for forty-three years. Rosella worked in civil service and the forestry service for twenty-five years. She then spent three years riding the roads with Richard while cross country trucking seeing all of America. Rosella was a member of several organizations including the Eufaula VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star Checotah Chapter. She served as Chaplain for both organizations. Rosella was also a member of the Friends of the Eufaula Memorial Library where she served as Vice President. Rosella was an active member of the First United Methodist. One of her favorite ministries was to make and send personalized cards for all of her friends and church members for every holiday and birthday. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include: her husband, Richard, of the home; her son, David Oyer and wife Sharon of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Katherine Harris of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Peter Johnston, Samuel Harris and Dawn Patricia Harris all of Tuscon; brother, Sam Scalzo and wife Peggy of Tuscon, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arthur Scalzo.
