Ronnie Joe Harris

Ronnie was born on February 17, 1948 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Elmer Cleo and Pearl Olive (Morgan) Harris. He attended and graduated from Eufaula High School in 1966. Ronnie graduated from NSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. On September 25, 1970, he married Sandy M. Byrd in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Ronnie taught at Quinton Public Schools for five years. He worked on wood carving for commission. Ronnie enjoyed playing the fiddle and harmonica. Survivors include: one daughter, Vanessa Gilley and husband, Chad, of Eufaula, OK; two brothers, Charles Harris; Dan Harris and wife, Linda, both of Eufaula, OK; three sisters, Mary Smith and husband, Jerry, of McAlester, OK; Judy Harris, of Muskogee, OK; Linda Mansur and husband, Lynn, of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren: Haley Gilley, Tanner Gilley, Brianna Gilley, and Amanda Gilley; one great grandchild on the way; and loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Pearl Harris; one sister, Thelma; four brothers: Leo, Cleo, Darrell, and one infant brother.
