Ronald Lee Hawkins

Ronnie was born on October 21, 1956 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Andrew, Sr. and Francis Elizabeth (Bean) Hawkins. He graduated from Eufaula High School in 1974. Ronnie received his Associate"s Degree from Oklahoma State School of Technology in Okmulgee majoring in Commercial Art and Design. He was an accomplished sign painter and art designer. He worked as a Graphic Art Designer and Commercial Artist for the Donrey Sign Company in Oklahoma City for a few years and then moved back to the Eufaula area where he spent most of his life. For many years, Ronnie painted signs for many stores and individuals. He was a very talented artist and painter. He always encouraged the younger generation to work at developing their artistic skills. Ronnie was a member of the Little Coweta Baptist Church in Lenna. Survivors include: brothers: Gary Hawkins and wife, Paula, of Jenks, OK; Daniel Hawkins, of Eufaula, OK; sisters: Brenda Earls, of Mission Acres, OK; Glenda Welty and husband, Todd, of OKC, OK; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra "Sandy" Hawkins; parents, Andrew Sr. and Elizabeth Hawkins; brothers: Eugene Hawkins; Andrew Hawkins; and brother in-law, Timothy Earls.
