Ronald George McCray, 73, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his home. Ronald was born on December 30, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of John Thomas and Naomi Caroline (Shepherd) McCray. He attended Midwest City High School. Ronald, at the age of 17, served in the United States Army for three years and then served in the United States Coast Guard for seventeen before retiring. On November 16, 2007, Ronald married Eula Jean Ballard in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Ronald worked as a bus driver for Canadian Public Schools for fifteen years. He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid OU Sooner and Dallas Cowboy Fan. Survivors include: his wife, Jean, of the home; stepmother, Dorothy McCray of Del City; daughters, Kelli Brooke Hopchas and husband Butch of North Richland Hills, TX, Jennifer Lynn McCray and fiance Eric of Oklahoma City, OK, Felicia Jean Melton of Ponca City, OK and Amber Dawn Wokaty and fiance Wesley of Eufaula, OK; six grandchildren, sisters: Sherry Rutherford and Ashley of Burleson, TX, Pamela Lampe and George of San Antonio, TX, Ramona Giammarva of Ellijay, GA, Dana Kohl and Rob and Del City, OK, Doris Jones of Del City, OK and Diana Tow of Del City, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Naomi McCray and a grandson, Steven Earl Melton.
