Roger Dale Power

Roger Dale Power, 69, of McAlester, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at home. Roger was born on October 23, 1948 in Tulare, California to Harold Harris and Venus (Myers) Power. He attended school at Haileyville Public Schools. In 1971, Roger married Sydney Bussy. They were married for thirteen years. He worked as a pipe fitter and welder. Roger married Judy Phillips in 1988. They were married for nineteen years before she passed in 2007. He served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division during The Vietnam War and received three purple hearts. Survivors include: his son, Mark B. Power, of McAlester, OK; and three brothers: Sam Power and wife, Minnie, of Crowder, OK; Raymond Power and wife, Jimmie Margaret, of Canadian, OK; and Bobby Power and wife, Liz, of Lake Arthur, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Neoma Jean Laughlin; and brother, John Edgar Young. Family will receive visitors from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home, Thursday, May 3, 2018.
