Robert Joe Cunningham

July 21, 1933 — December 8, 2016

Joe was born on July 21, 1933 in Stidham, Oklahoma to Virgil and Oma (Sinor) Cunningham. He attended school at Stidham. Joe served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1962. On May 21, 1959, he married Beverly Ann Wilcox in Memphis, TN. They settled in Oklahoma City, where he worked in sales. In 1975, Joe moved his family to Okmulgee, before moving back to Eufaula in 1990. He owned and operated a Tool and Boot Store in downtown Eufaula, before retiring to Longtown. Joe was devoted to his wife of fifty-seven years, his kids, and grandkids. He loved to hunt, fish, and garden. Joe was a great father and loved his family. He was a member of the Lindsey Chapel Baptist Church. Joe was a Christian, who served as Sunday School Teacher for years. Survivors include: his wife, Beverly, of the home; sons: Joe Cunningham, and Jim Cunningham and wife Deana; brother, Charles Cunningham and wife Carolyn; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: Virgil Cunningham and Oma Howell; brother, Homer Cunningham; and sister, Lola Mae Brown.
