Robert D. Small

Robert Donald Small was born October 9, 1932 in Canadian, Oklahoma to William Titus Small and wife Rose Evelyn Surber Small. He went to heaven on June 13, 2016 to be with our Lord. Robert married Genevieve Rodgers on August 3, 1954. He loved his country and served two years in the United States Army. Robert enjoyed gardening, bluegrass music, watching the Green Bay Packers football club and participating in classic car shows where he won numerous awards for his prized 1967 Chevelle named the Ernie B who was a close friend and former coworker. He was a member of the Chevelle and El Camino Car Club. Robert also enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in various sporting events. Robert worked for E.H. Schmidt as a surveyor and later worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas as a surveyor for 30 plus years and retired from there in 1995. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years as well as his daughter, Pamela Chidster and husband Jack of San Antonio, TX and daughter Sandy LeBow and husband Richard of Strang, OK. He is also survived by his only remaining sister Mary Brodien of Willets, CA. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Becky & Brent DeBoer of Claremore, Jerad & Renee Lohmann of Sand Springs, Patrick O"Hara of Tulsa and Jesse & Kathryn McKinney of San Antonio; 6 great grandchildren, Nick DeBoer, Jordan & Chynna Borthick, Jason DeBoer, Logan & Autumn DeBoer, Avery Lohmann and Wrigley Lohmann and 1 great-great grandchild, Kilee Kay DeBoer as well as numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. Robert loved his family and friends and really enjoyed scaring people. He will be remembered by his generous spirit and his quick wit.
