Bob was born on February 19, 1940, in Eufaula, Oklahoma the son of Doyle Robert and Addie Mae (Shiew) Thomas. He grew up and graduated from Glenpool High School in 1958. In April of 1959, Bob married Helen Anita Clark. When he was a young man, he sold life insurance on a debit route. All his clients thought he was about it. Later on, he became a car salesman at Ernie Miller Pontiac. Bob won all kinds of awards and trips. He really excelled at this. It was his favorite job! . He had faith in God. Bob later retired to Eufaula Lake, where he had some family and he made some good friends. Bobs favorite pastime was working on his 1969 Cutlass Oldsmobile. He loved tuning and preparing it for painting. It still runs pretty good. His other pastime was watching all kinds of sports on TV, but his favorite was the Dallas Cowboys. Bob was their avid fan! Survivors include: his sons, Paul Robert Thomas and wife Tonya of Glenpool and Douglas Eugene Thomas and wife Kim of Aubrey, Texas; his daughter, Tracy Lynnette Covert and husband Larry of Catoosa; his sisters, Mary Frances Barnhart and husband Leon of Beggs and Wilma Jean Hunter and husband Jay of Glenpool; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
