Richard Donald Casey, Sr., 80, of Eufaula, passed away on September 11, 2017 at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Center in Muskogee. Richard was born on January 26, 1937 in Phoenix, Arizona to Wade Claremon and Willie (Duke) Casey. He lived and attended school at Crowder until the age of twelve and then attended Canadian Public Schools. Richard enlisted in the United States Army on March 22, 1960 and was honorably discharged on February 28, 1966, receiving a Good Conduct Medal. On July 28, 1962, he married Janet Elizabeth Pirtle in Eufaula. They were happily married for over fifty-five years. He owned and operated Red Carpet Rental Services. Richard was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Longtown. Survivor include: his wife, Janet Casey, of the home; son, Richard Casey, Jr., of Sayre, OK; daughters: Regina Casey, of Eufaula, Tammy Rogers and husband, Stanley Jr., of Crowder, OK; and Janetta Klutts and husband, Stanley, of Okemah, OK; eight grandchildren: Larry Williams, Megan Grey, Richard Casey III, Sage Klutts, Cheyenne Klutts, Nicholas Casey, Gus Klutts, and Dalton Rogers; and six great grandchildren: Alexia McCoy, Landon Grey, Emilee Grey, Mattie Grey, Keaton Givens, and Karsyn Richel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Willie Casey; two brothers: Douglas and Dyton Casey; and three sisters: Christine Peters, Kathryn Smith, and Vina Jean Graham.
