Richard Anthony Stanley "Anthony", 64, of Quinton, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, June 1st, 2017, in Spiro. Anthony was born on December 27, 1952, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the son of Richard and Mamie (Williamson) Stanley. He graduated from Heavener High School in 1971 and later attended college in Wilburton and Berkley. Anthony worked in coal mining all of his adult life spending 43 years underground. He currently worked for the South Central Coal Company of Spiro as a miner electrician. He was a member of the State of Oklahoma Underground Advisory Board. On May 30, 2014, Anthony married Annette VanMatre at the Lake Eufaula Brooken Cove. Survivors include: his wife, Annette, of the home; his daughter, Charlotte Easley of Spiro; his son, Kenny Sills and wife Lynn of Quinton; a sister, Diane Dalpas and husband Terry of Haileyville; brother, Clarence "Buzz" Stanley and wife Sherry of Crowder; twelve grandchildren, Tyler Sills, Wyatt Sills, Blaine Sills, Brandon Boyster, Justin and Autumn McGowan, Josh & Hannah McGowan, Cassie & Chris Kerpenski, Derek McGowan, Rayne & Jake Gibson, Tierra & Dillon Easley; nine great grandchildren, Courtney, Brayson, Jacob, Zayne, Bethany, Aceyn, Zaleigh, Bryler, and Karlee; and his nieces and nephews, Nikki, Micheal, Raven, Tyson, Amber and Terry Wayne. He is preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Quinton City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lee VanMatre, Michael Stanley, Terry Wayne Dalpas, Jake Gibson, Jason York, Dillon Clark, Freddie Gragg and Kenny Sills. Services under the direction of Hunn & Black Funeral Home.
