Randall Oliver Hunt, 79, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2011 at his home. Randall was born on July 12, 1932 in Gainesville, Texas to Oliver Randall and Aveaus (Highfield) Hunt. He graduated high school from Oak Dale, California. Randall attended and graduated college from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado with a Business Degree. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on February 7, 1951 in San Francisco, California and was honorably discharged on February 6, 1954 in Santa Ana, California. While in the service, he received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Randall worked as a Denver Police Officer and Detective for several years. Randall became an investigator, working for twenty years. He married Marilyn (Lynne) Sue Hamons on August 31, 1984 in Denver, Colorado. Randall was a member of the Highlands Lodge # 86 in Colorado. He was also a member of the Bedouin Shriners in Muskogee, Oklahoma and a 32 Degree Mason in Denver Colorado, FAIC Fire Fighters, and State of Oklahoma Fire Fighters Association. Randall was a loving husband and father. He will be deeply missed by all. Survivors include: his wife, Lynne, of the home; one son, Brad Hunt and wife, Donna, of Overland Park, KS; one daughter, Lori K. McGregor, of Golden, CO; step children: April Ojeda, and Adam Garrison; and eight grandchildren: Jordan, Taylor, Landri, Logan, Easton, Creyton, Adrie, and Jenson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Aveaus Hunt and one son in-law, Keli McGregor.
