Queen Ester Chiles

Queen Ester Chiles, 83, of Eufaula, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the McAlester Regional Medical Center. Queen was born on February 6, 1931 in Eufaula, the daughter of Session and Corine (Stafford) Calamease. She attended school at Nero. On March 1, 1947, Queen married Alfonzo "Babe" Chiles in Eufaula. While her children were young, Queen was a homemaker. She worked at the Eufaula High School as a cook from 1974 and retired in 1988 after fifteen years of service. Survivors include: her sons, Winfred Chiles and wife Mildred of Eufaula, Donald Chiles and wife Sally of Oklahoma City and Marvin Chiles and wife Tracy of Ada; her daughters, Vicki Melton and husband Ronald of Grayson, Stephanie Fox of Eufaula and Chappell Chiles also of Eufaula; her sister, Louvenia Martin of Wichita, Kansas; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. Queen is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Bernard and Alfonzo, Jr. and a grandson, Brandon.
