Phillip Arthur Corley, 74, of Eufaula, passed away on May 22, 2018. Phil was born on July 18, 1943 at Vivian, Oklahoma to T.C. and Clara Dover Corley. He was raised in the Vivian area. Phil attended school at Simpson and Eufaula Public Schools, where he graduated in 1961. He attended Connors State College and graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Math. Phil married Elizabeth Miller on June 19, 1970 in McAlester. They were happily married for forty-seven years. He started teaching in the Eufaula Public Schools in 1970 and taught at the Junior High for twenty-five years. Phil was a substitute mail carrier for approximately ten years and worked for Bill's Glass & Door for about six years. He also worked at Boomer Solutions as a delivery driver. Phil retired in 2017 to care for his wife, Elizabeth. He was a devoted and loving husband, dad, and grandpa. Phil was a member of the Little Coweta Baptist Church. He lived a dedicated Christian life and loved his Lord and loved to share his love for God to all. Phil lived in the Eufaula and Vivian area all his life and died at his home in Vivian. Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth, of the home; son, Jay Westbrooks and wife, Charisse, of Edmond, OK; daughter, Tonya Peterman and husband, Jolly, of Eufaula, OK; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roscoe Corley and Laura Kirby Corley; parents, T.C. and Clara Dover Corley; brothers: James C. Corley and Jesse E. Corley; and sister, Betty Corley Scott.
