Peggy Lou Terry

Peggy was born on July 22, 1937, in Eufaula, Oklahoma the daughter of Willis Olen and Illa Mae (Ayers) Brewer. She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1955. Peggy raised 2 sons while working a 40 hour week for Bell Telephone and similiutaniously completing her Bachelor"s Degree in Education. With special permission from the dean from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah she completed her 4 year degree program in 3. While teaching, being devoted to her family, and tutoring, Peggy completed her 2 year Master's degree program in 18 months also at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She taught Sophomore and Senior English with the majority of her thirty-three years education career spent at Eufaul High School. Peggy inspired greatness in her students with whom she required much and loved immensely. On December 26, 1987, Peggy married Lowell Rudy Terry in Miami, Oklahoma. After retiring from EHS in 1998 she spent time with her beloved family and worked at Nichols Dollar Saver for 8 years. She adored her family, and they her. Peggy's educational impact span generations at Eufaula High School and beyond, always happy edit any essay when asked. Survivors include: her husband, Lowell, of the home; her sons, Truman Keith Keplinger of Eufaula and Kevin Doyle of Eufaula; her brother, Buddy Brewer and wife Linda of Eufaula; her grandchildren, Kasady Doyle, Truman Keith Keplinger II, Dylan Doyle, Kyle Keplinger and Tyler Keplinger and her great grandchildren, Christian, Dylan, Jr., Andrew, Ethan, Taytam, Truman Keith III, Aiyana, Elijah and Isabella; and daughter in-law, Monica Keplinger, of Eufaula. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Joyce Johnson and Frankie Fitzgerald and a granddaughter, Tessa Doyle.
