Paulette Carey

Paulette Carey, 69, of Eufaula, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Paulette was born on June 28, 1953 in Checotah, Oklahoma to Leo and Velma (Hamm) Thomason. She graduated from Checotah High School in 1971.

On April 12, 1972, she married William "Doug" Carey. They were happily married for fifty years, before he preceded her in death on August 13, 2022. Paulette attended Connors State College and did training at Oklahoma University. She retired Bank of Oklahoma as Bank Manager in 2006. Paulette enjoyed raising Boston Terrier dogs, crafting, and baking. She made the best pumpkin rolls. Paulette was a member of the Stidham Baptist Church.

Survivors include: sons: Brad Carey and wife Carri; Landon Carey; daughter, April Scantlen and husband Terry; fourteen grandchildren: Jamie Carey and wife Kyla, Colton Carey, Taylor Stovall and husband Robert, Cheyenne Carey, Ethan Carey, Mea Carey, Sadie Belicek, Katelynn Munn, Alissa Munn, Chisholm Belicek and wife Harley, Cheyenne Belicek, Colton Scantlen and wife Jordan, Hunter Carey, and Gunner Carey; and five great grandchildren, Ali Roark, Gracelynn Minshall, Quarter Carey, Charli and Paisley Stovall. She is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Velma Thomason and husband, Doug Carey.
